Apurva Dubey was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on 23 September 1988. Her ancestral home town lies in Bamhniyawa village, Deoria district. His father Dr. Sanjay Dubey served as Additional Director-General at Prasar Bharati, New Delhi. Her mother was a homemaker who played a key role in building Apoorva’s confidence and emotional resilience. Her paternal grandfather, Dr. K.N. Dubey, served as a professor at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, India’s premier training institution for civil servants.
In 2019, Apurva Dubey IAS married Vishakh G Iyer IAS, also an IAS officer of 2011 batch from Uttar Pradesh cadre.
