Kamarajar Port is located on the the Coromandel Coast, about 24 km north of Chennai Port, Chennai. Kamarajar Port was earlier known as Ennore Port. In October 1999, it was incorporated as Ennore Port Limited under the Companies Act, 1956. It is the first and only major port in India which is registered as a company.

Statement 2 is correct
Mundra Port is India’s first private port, and the largest private port and the largest private container port. It’s located on the northern shores of the Gulf of Kutch, near Mundra, Kutch district, Gujarat. Mundra Port was formed in 1998 under Gujarat Adani Port Limited (GAPL) and commenced operations in 2001.

Statement 3 is incorrect
Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust – Nhava Sheva (JNPT) is the largest container port in India.
